Blaenau Gwent Service Improvement Project: Show and Tell
On Friday 18 November we hosted a show and tell with service colleagues from Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council.
In the session Rebecca Morales-Reeves, Digital and Service Design Officer at Blaenau Gwent gave an update on a project they recently undertook for one of their services after they identified the need to improve how they interact with their citizens. Rebecca explained how they took a User-Centred Design (UCD) approach to making improvements, looking at what they did through the project and what they found out.
If you couldn’t attend and would like to catch up or want to share insights from the session with your team, a recording of the show and tell is available online.
We are now working with Blaenau Gwent to support user-centred design activities on the improvement of another service. In the session Tom Brame, User Researcher at Welsh Local Government Digital provided an update on what we’ve done so far and what we are planning next, and there are further details about the project on our website.
If you are interested in finding out more about user-centred design, we have recently launched learning frameworks for both user research and content design. You can find out more about these frameworks on our blog, and if you’re interested in joining the communities of practice or training we have planned, email digitalteam@wlga.gov.uk or timdigidol@wlga.gov.uk.
